HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Volunteering
Tutoring – Many of our children have academic needs and would benefit from your tutoring in reading, math, or other subjects. |
Friendship – Our volunteers often choose to spend regular time with our children, coming to the house to play games, read together, or taking them on outings. |

Host Families |
Visits – You can serve as a host for a meal, a weekend, or a holiday, opening your heart and home to one – or more – of Agapés children. |
Donations |
Monetary gifts – Financial contributions fund the work of our ministry, paying for housing and repairs, food and clothing for children, and teacher and staff salaries. |
Targeted contributions – Donors often choose to give specific dollar sums or in-kind gifts to help us with major needs. In the past, we’ve been fortunate to receive items like cars, washing machines, and windows. |
In-kind contributions – If you have a specific talent, you’d like to share, such as teaching, administration, maintenance, landscaping, or others, please contact us. |

Building Fund |
Agapé is raising monies to rebuild its school facility on Holloway Street, to address current structural issues and expand classroom space. We gratefully welcome donations for this major initiative. |
Service Projects |
Building projects - Individuals and church communities have joined us for a day, a week, or longer to accomplish specific projects. We own three older buildings, which often need repair or renovation. Volunteers help us with projects such as interior and exterior painting, small-scale carpentry projects, plumbing repair and upgrades, electrical work, and carpeting and flooring. |

Vocational Training |
“Hands-on” training – Many of our children are interested in pursuing a trade, and so we seek Christian volunteers who can help them learn more about specific crafts such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and automotive repair. Ideally, volunteers would have tools that would enrich our own and would work with our children to complete projects on-site. |
